I felt like I hadn't made cookies (chocolate chip cookies) in a really long time so when this recipe happened into my inbox, I couldn't resist. I'm always on the lookout for a really good chocolate chip cookie recipe. There are so many out there, all with a slightly different amounts of the same ingredients. This one intrigued me with the melted, cooled butter. My usual recipes just use room temp butter that you cream into your sugars. Does this method for butter make a difference? I think it does in this recipe. My review on this cookie - it's a soft, delicious cookie that I give a 10 out of 10!
Let's bake . . .
Chocolate Chip Cookie

In your mixer, cream together (for about 2 minutes) 1/2 c. melted, unsalted, cooled butter 1/3 c. sugar 1/2 c. b. sugar, firmly packed
Mix in 1 egg (room temp) 2 tsp. vanilla
Remove from the mixer and add in the flour mixture by hand, stirring until just combined.
Add in 1 c. chocolate chips.
Drop onto a cookie sheet and bake for about 8-9 minutes, until the edges are brown. The center will be puffy and slightly underdone.
Let sit for about 3 minutes before moving them to a cooling rack.
