Peach Season and that means it's time for crisps and crumbles! I think everyone makes apple crisp but have you tried a peach crisp? It's so easy to put together and is so delish! This is something I like to make now and put into my freezer for those cold winter days when a peach crisp just warms your soul! My only trouble making this crisp is not eating the peaches while I'm slicing them, so if you're like me, make sure to buy extra - just saying;
Let's get to the recipe . . .
Peach Crisp
Crumble Topping In a bowl, combine 1/2 c. b. sugar 2/3 c. flour (spooned into meauring cup) 1 tsp. cinnamon 2/3 c. quick oats 1/2 c. cold unsalted butter (I keep mine in the freezer and grate it into the mixture) Using your hands, mix this together until it is pebbly in texture and set this aside.
Filling In a bowl, mix together 5 cups peeled and sliced ripe peaches. 1/4 c. flour (spooned into measure) 1/2 c. sugar pinch salt 1 tbsp. lemon juice 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Add the filling to a greased 9" baking dish (can be round, square, rectangle) or into individual ramekins or mini pie dishes.
Top with crumble.
Bake at 350 for about 45 minutes until the filling is bubbling around the edges and the topping is golden brown.
Serve warm with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream:)
