I can't believe I have never made this loaf!  I've always done banana loaf, banana chocolate chip loaf, but never a chocolate banana loaf.  So, it was time.  I've been missing out lol.  This loaf is tender, just the right amount of chocolate and uses up my ripe bananas.

Let's not waste time - get baking!

Chocolate Banana Loaf

In your mixing bowl, mix together
1 1/2 c. flour
1/3 c. cocoa
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. b. powder
1/2 tsp. b. soda
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 c. chocolate chips

In a separate bowl, combine and mix well
3-4 mashed, very ripe bananas (about 1 1/2 cups)
3/4 c. b. sugar (firmly packed)
1/2 c. veg. oil
1/3 c. sour cream
2 lg. eggs
2 tsp. vanilla

Pour the banana mixture into the flour mixture and stir until just combined.

Pour the batter into your parchment lined loaf pan (grease your loaf pan to keep the parchment paper in place)

Sprinkle with more chocolate chips if you like.

Bake at 350 for about 50 minutes depending on the size of your loaf pan, until a toothpick in the centre comes out clean.

Let rest for about 15 minutes, remove from pan and let cool on a cooling rack.

When slightly warm or completely cooled, slice and . . .

Enjoy!
