I prefer to make my own granola over store bought. I like knowing what's in it and I like to choose what I put in it. I have one I make all the time (that we love) but thought I'd change it up a bit. This one is different as it has nut butter in the mix - not something I usually use in my granola. So, the review. This is really good. It's not as sweet as my usual, so I'm thinking I like this a bit more. I love the nut butter in it and I like that it stays in clumps a little more than my usual granola. This granola did not last the week in my house - handfuls for snacks and on top of yogurt made it disappear pretty fast!
Let's get to the recipe . . .
Crunchy Cinnamon Granola
Add together 3 c. oats (gluten free if needed) 1 c. slivered almonds 1 c. pecan pieces 1 tbsp. cinnamon 3/4 tsp. fine sea salt
Into a small saucepan, add in a mix until smooth 1/2 c. olive oil 1 tbsp. cinnamon 1/2 c. nut butter (I used almond butter) 1/2 c. + 2 tbsp. maple syrup
Pour wet over dry and mix until combined.
Spread onto a parchment lined baking sheet.
Bake at 325 for about 20 minutes, turn your pan and bake for about 10 more minutes - until nice and golden brown.
