I was looking for an oatmeal cookie recipe and came across this one. I know, we all have an oatmeal cookie recipe, myself included, but sometimes you want to try someone else's recipe just to see if it's any better. This recipe had 5 stars from 6000 votes so I could not resist trying it after that kind of review. My first batch disappeared by my kitchen helpers before I could even try one! Yup that good:) What did I do? Well, I made another batch, but this time I doubled them LOL. These truly are 5 star worthy, excellent taste, right amount of chocolate chips and delish! Give them a try and let me know if your tasters agree with the 5 star review;)

In a medium bowl, mix together
1 c. flour (spooned into measuring cup)
1/2 tsp. b. soda

In the bowl of your stand mixer, beat together until light and fluffy
1/2 c. unsalted butter, room temp
1/3 c. sugar
2/3 c. b. sugar

Reduce speed to low and add in, mixing until combined
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla
1 large egg

Slowly add in the flour mixture.

Stir in
1 1/2 c. oats
1/2 c. chocolate chips.

Drop onto parchment lined cookie sheet and bake at 375 for about 8 minutes until golden brown.

This recipe made exactly 24 cookies when I used my cookie scoop.

Enjoy!
